Competitive swimming is a challenging sport that demands relentless determination, dedication, and discipline. Swimmers will need a well-structured, comprehensive, and effective training plan to improve, excel and maintain their skills.
Here at the Worland Aquatic Center, Ashanti and Lisa have developed a Competitive Swim Program that will advance swimmers skill and get them ready for their next swim season. Our plan focuses on strength, power and speed in the water while working on explosiveness and balance through dry land workouts. Between these elements you will become more powerful, enabling you to swim faster and more efficiently to maintain form even when you become fatigued.
Summer can be a busy time, we developed this program for swimmers to work on their own time. When they arrive to the pool, they will receive a printout of instructions to follow along with what equipment they will need to dry land workout. Staff will be available to assist you with any questions you may have. This program will run June 2nd - August 2nd. There is no sign up required or fee for the program, just pay daily admission or purchase a summer pass. Please call Lisa with any questions at the Worland Aquatic Center.
